Ken Skinner, a Boeing engineer, founded KASCO in 1960 with an
entrepreneur’s spirit. After many ventures, such as uranium mining in
Arkansas, he decided that selling through an agency was his future. He then
resigned from Boeing and started Ken’s Associates. In the late 1960’s he
began representing his first HVAC line, Malco Products. In 1979 Tim Chilen
joined Ken as his salesman in the Kansas City market area. In 1985 Ken
retired and Tim acquired the agency bringing Mark Courington on as a
partner taking over Ken's territory. In 1986 Kevin Smith joined the agency
followed by Mike Poholsky in 1987. In 1988 the name was changed to
KASCO. Angela Cunningham began working in 1994 followed by Randy
Cowan in 1998, Max Chilen in 2007 and most recently Mike Carmosino in
2009.
